Using your gaiwan
Add loose tea leaves, pour in water suited to your tea and steep. Tilt the lid to leave a small pouring gap, then decant into a pitcher or cup. Leave room below the rim and handle hot porcelain carefully. Let the vessel cool if it is too hot to hold comfortably.
Care
Handwash gently with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Rinse well and dry before storing. Avoid abrasive cleaners, knocks and sudden temperature changes.
